Hold onto your hearts, Noon Anime readers, because we have some bittersweet news hitting the wire today. The electrifying voice actor unit NACHERRY, comprised of the immensely talented Natsumi Murakami and Chiemi Tanaka, has officially announced that they will be ceasing their activities. It feels like just yesterday they burst onto the scene in September 2021, and now their incredible journey together is coming to a close.
In their whirlwind two-and-a-half-year run, NACHERRY captured our attention with their vibrant "American cherry" concept and infectious energy. Fans of the anime 4-nin wa Sorezore Uso o Tsuku (The Little Lies We All Tell) will instantly recognize their debut single, "Fortune," which served as the show's incredible opening theme. They brought a unique and powerful pop-rock sound that will surely be missed in the anisong world.
But it's not over just yet! The duo is giving fans one last chance to celebrate their music with a final farewell concert scheduled for this March. This will be the ultimate opportunity to see Natsumi and Chiemi perform together as NACHERRY one last time. While we're sad to see the unit end, we're incredibly grateful for the amazing tracks they've given us.
