OshiBudo Hits the Stage! Love Live!'s Aika Kobayashi and SKE48 Idols to Star!

Get your light sticks ready, because the ultimate idol fan story is coming to life! We've just gotten word that the fan-favorite series, 'If My Favorite Pop Idol Made it to the Budokan, I Would Die' (OshiBudo), is getting a brand-new stage play adaptation, and the casting is already a dream come true! Here at Noon Anime, we could not be more hyped for this announcement.
Taking on the lead role of the legendary super-fan Eripyo is the incredibly talented singer and voice actress Aika Kobayashi! You know her, you love her as the iconic voice of Yohane (Yoshiko Tsushima) in Love Live! Sunshine!!. It feels absolutely perfect to have a star from the world of idol anime step into the shoes of the most dedicated (and hilarious) idol otaku out there. We can't wait to see her bring Eripyo's passionate and all-consuming energy to the stage!
But who will be the idols that Eripyo dedicates her life to? In a brilliant meta-casting move, members of the real-life J-pop group SKE48 will be playing the members of the underground idol group ChamJam! This is such an exciting choice, lending a powerful layer of authenticity to the story of idols striving for their big break. Having actual, experienced idols portray these roles is sure to make the performances electric!
